Tornajo and Hurajan: Benzina Zero's Electric Off-Road Platforms Head Into Final Testing Ahead of Australian Launch

Benzina Zero's first electric dirt bikes, Tornajo and Hurajan, are now undergoing local testing in Australia ahead of their official release. Following a European debut and on-track testing in Spain.

Benzina Zero's electric off-road expansion brings 2 new models to the lineup, the Benzina Zero Tornajo and Benzina Zero Hurajan. These new models are entering the final stage of development before launching in Australia. After making their global debut in Europe and completing on-track performance testing, both models are now being put through local conditions to confirm they're ready for Australian riders and terrain.

From Milan to the Track in Spain

Tornajo and Hurajan were first unveiled at EICMA 2025 in Milan, possibly the world's most prestigious motorcycle exhibition. From there, both E-Motos were taken to Circuit de Vidreres near Girona, Spain, for real-world performance testing. We had professional rider Michele Chiello, a Motornext Championship competitor and Head Mechanic at Motorgreen. Michele put the bikes through their paces and provided hands-on feedback that helped us refine rideability and competitive performance ahead of production.

Now Being Tested in Australian Conditions

With European testing complete, prototypes have arrived in Australia for the next phase of testing, which includes:

  • Diverse terrain conditions
  • Australian climate extremes
  • Durability under local riding environments
  • Compliance alignment for Australian regulations

Electric off-road performance isn't just about torque, it's about resilience, control and making sure the rider has confidence in the vehicle, and that's exactly what this phase is built to confirm before the bikes go to market.

What This Means for the Market

Tornajo and Hurajan give Australian riders and the dealers access to electric off-road performance that's been validated on European tracks and is now being proven in local conditions before it reaches the showroom floor.
